How do you light a pellet BBQ?

Lighting a pellet grill is quite simple. Fill the hopper with food-grade wood pellets (make sure they are dry and not clumped). Turn the pellet BBQ on using the control panel or the app. The auger will start feeding pellets into the fire pot and the pellets will be ignited.

Hot air will be blown in the cavity to distribute the heat evenly.
Allow 10-15 minutes for preheating. This will improve your cooking result.

Three main take aways:
- use fresh, dry and food-grade wood pellets
- always start with a clean fire pot
- keep the lid open the very first minutes of preheating to prevent excess smoke

What are the advantages of a pellet BBQ?

A pellet grill has many advantages. First of all, this type of appliance is known for its user-friendliness: easy to light in a minimum of time. The temperature is maintained automatically thanks to the digital controler.  Through the WiFi connection you can easily control the temperature remotely. Pellet grills maintain consistent heat with little waste compared to traditional wood or charcoal smokers. On top of that there is less risk of flare-ups.
